Champagne Sew-A-Long

This is a sew along to beat that summer heat with a lovely, easier than it looks quilt top. These sessions will be held in person as well as on Youtube. Sessions will consist of the lesson for the day listed bellow, and you are encouraged to bring what you have for a show and share during the class. Session 1, you won't have anything yet. Session 2 Bring those fabrics! and later sessions you can bring your quilt blocks, completed tops etc to show off. If you fall off the wagon DO NOT FRET. That is why there is so much space between the classes, so you can catch up if you get behind.

When you sign up, you will be invited to a Facebook Group (not required but fun) for the Sew-A-Long. This way we can ask each other questions and show off our progress.

Session 1, July 6th @ 10:00am

We will go over materials and color way options. You have until Session 2 (July 17th) to get your supplies together.

Session 2, July 27th @ 10:00am

Emily will walk you through prepping and cutting your fabrics. We will also go over block construction. We will be making units for the blocks in alternative ways that will make the blocks easier, so don't get too far ahead.

Session 3, August 17th @ 10:00am

We will review and finalize blocks and go over quilt lay out.

Session 4, Sept 7th @ 10:00am

Emily will go over quilting ideas, as well as techniques for all skill levels. Participants who have their quilt tops ready will have the opportunity to quilt their tops with the Q24 long arm.

Session 5, Sept 28th @ 10:00am

Show and Share! Bring your finished (or whatever you have got) to show off your Champagne quilt. Also, be sure to post finish pics in the Facebook Group so we can all share together.

It is up to you if you want to do in person who online.

In person sessions will be demonstrations only. If enough people want a sew day, we can add one closer to the end so we can all get our blocks done.

If it looks like it's getting too full, we will add an afternoon session to ease up space.
