Sewing:
- The right tools make completing your projects easier, faster, and more enjoyable.
- Organize your tools, fabric, stash, and sewing books. An organized place is a happier, more relaxing place to sew.
- Make a list/pictures of all the tools and feet that you have and keep the list in a fire/tornado safe place. If ever needed, it will make replacement much faster and easier.
- Have a good stash of needles on hand. It makes changing them much easier.
- Have on hand all the different types, sizes, and tips of needles that you might need.
- Bring your machine in for a tune up once every year.
- Do you have both an old and a new Bernina machine? The feet are not interchangeable. Here’s a fun way to remember which belong to which: older machine feet, before 1997, belong to the Black Food Tribe and newer machine feet, after 1997, belong to the Red Foot Tribe. This refers to the color of the numbers on the feet.
